It’s been suggested by some that I sometimes stretch the truth when it comes to telling stories about John Joyce. It could, for example, be argued that John wasn’t the first man on the moon despite what I’ve said in the past, and it’s true that there is no proof that John can change the weather in any given US city (with international cities pending) just by tugging on his magnificent beard.

With all that said, when I ran into John today at his Scarab Body Arts studio in Syracuse NY…. he was freshly back from a relaxing weekend of Bear hunting.

Think about what you did this weekend. Now imagine if somehow a bear was involved. Add freezing temperatures and a canoe, and you have what Mr. Joyce does for fun. All I managed to do this weekend was feed a donkey.

Here’s the kicker- John knows you’re reading this right now. He’s like the Santa Claus of Scarification.
