Wow.
Christiane just checked in with this impressive full dome branding. I’m usually interested in healed photos to show how the work scarred, but in this case I’m really interested in seeing his hair re-growth.

I think it’s fair to say that when it comes to ink rubbed scarification, our friend Christiane is the uncontested champ. She just finished this amazingly ambitious cutting based on a Mucha design. She had this to say about it:

“Alphonse Mucha ink rubbing. This is definitely the biggest and most complex scar I’ve ever done in one sitting. It took 6 hrs. It was rubbed with ‘tahitian brown’ powder pigment mixed to a paste with ink dilution liquid. I hope (and expect) the color will stay. ”

I have people ask me “why don’t they just get tattooed” when it comes to ink rubbing. There’s no one size fits all answer; it’s different for every person who has a rubbed cutting.

June 23rd can only mean one thing: Håvve’s birthday!
Here’s a shot Casey Goldsmith took of Christiane cutting Håvve at the SW3 event. As long as Håvve keeps having birthdays, I’ll keep digging up photos! Happy Birthday my friend.

It’s been too long since we’ve put up anything by the lovely Christiane of Oslo; in order to fix that… a really well executed (and may I say “pretty”) floral cutting.
