“The idea for the SCARWARS events/project came about in 2004 at the Modcon4 event I was hosting in Toronto. We had a client who wanted a collaborative scarification piece utilizing several styles (line cutting, flesh removal and branding) by several attending artists…  Watching everyone working together made me realize that the scarification community had no central source for communication. The Scarwars events were created to bridge the gaps and get everyone together. The Scarblog is here to continue documenting and exploring the scarification culture and to hopefully have a little fun doing it.”
